Sandblasting and Engraving
Свет и форма, декоративная линия и матированный/сатинированный эффект взаимодействуют, создавая пространство с легкостью и оригинальностью.
Sandblasting is a technique that uses abrasion to opacify the surface of a glass pane in a uniform way, depriving it of its natural transparency.
Engraving, on the other hand, makes it possible to customize glass with unique artistic patterns, created through geometric shapes, repeated motifs or drawings. This is done by removing manually the surface of a previously sandblasted glass, to create the design.
Writings or drawings can also be achieved on the surface of a glass pane through sandblasting. In this way, the decoration is imprinted on the glass «in negative», through the application of specially made adhesives, protecting some areas to create a discontinuity between the opaque sandblasted parts and those protected, which remain shiny and transparent.
These techniques make it possible to screen without blocking the light. Sandblasting and engraving are used to customize dividers, windows and even small objects with motifs that play on the contrast between decorations and satin effects.
The dialogue between transparent and satin finish creates delicate and elegant designs that can define spaces with light and originality. It can also be used to enrich windows and doors with 3D effects, to produce decorations that change and vary according to the light.
